What is Title Insurance? An Insurance policy protecting you, or your Lender, against loss resulting from title defects to your land. This one time fee is regulated by the State of Ohio Department of Insurance and is based on the sale price of the home.

What Port Lawrence Title provides
The Title Exam
    This is a thorough investigation of the public records concerning the subject property. In addition to determining ownership of the property, it reveals any mortgages or liens currently on the property. Finally, it determines if there are any conditions that would interfere with the Buyer taking title.
Settlement Services
    These services include: requesting & obtaining all payoff information (mortgages), preparing all closing documents, complying to each individual lender’s requirements, coordinating and scheduling the closing date for all parties involved, closing the transaction, disbursing monies and commissions, all copying, filing and faxing, recording the deed and mortgage, reporting of Seller’s gross proceeds to IRS, and mailing all necessary documents.
